We love our customers!
Another snowbird season is behind us as we are about to enter our 8th year at Stained Glass One. We are happy to say that our customer base has grown and we have taught over 500 student to work in stained glass!
This year our returning glass artists took on some very ambitious projects, some of which you can see on the photo pages, and some of which we will post later in the summer. Several folks created custom works of art for family and friends, using personal items like badges and caps as the basis for their patterns. As always we are happy to assist in making these ideas a glass reality
New Product
This year Jim has added a new dimension to stained glass work by learning how to paint details on glass using ground glass "paint," then firing the piece so the details are fused on. This enables us to add wonderful faces, unique lettering and details like scales, feathers and leaves. Check out our website for great photos of some of his first creations. Remember, if you need some detail for a pattern you are working on, stop by the studio and see how Jim can help you.
Barb's Busy, Too
Barb continues to create suncatchers and smaller pieces to sell online. She got another commission for wedding favors -- this time the trains shown below. The couple was having their reception in a renovated train station, and loved the idea of a favor which would last a lifetime! She also made the 5 sky blue open hearts shown above as a custom order for someone's daughters. Check out some links to her work in the link section of the newsletter.
Barb is alos continuing to write for Yahoo. Some of her articles relate to stained glass, others are about a variety of topics. Check them out here: http://contributor.yahoo.com/user/824158/barbra_davis.html
